Our History
Then & Now
Built by Tom, BJ and their two sons Dusty and Josh using hand-peeled logs from the property, the beautiful architecture is surrounded by thousands of acres of National Forest, green open meadows, rivers, streams, a private lake and granite mountain tops.
The Hoovers, along with help fell the trees that now make up the main lodge. They milled as much as possible from wood on site to use for siding, trim, doors, the bar in the saloon and much more. It took about 8 years to get the lodge and saloon livable, only able to work during the summer to convert the overgrown property into a magnificent landscape with the hot tub built into the rocks overlooking the lake. Since then The HideOut continues to transform its landscape each year, always trying to maximize the already natural beauty that embraces this stunning location while conituing to maintain that “wow” factor. When you want the truly unique and one of a kind look no further than the middle of the woods. When you want full seclusion and no interruptions look no further than The HideOut.
